Internet Config 2.0 introduces switchable preference sets. You can now create multiple independent preference sets within Internet Config. You might use this to host two different users on the same computer, or to represent two different locations for your PowerBook.
Internet Config Switch is a control strip module that allows you to quickly switch between those preference sets using Mac OS’s Control Strip control panel, available on all computers running System 7.5.3 or later.
Installation and Use
Put the “Internet Config Switch” control strip module in the Control Strip Modules folder within your System Folder. [If you’re using Mac OS 8 or later, you can just drop it on the System Folder and the Finder will automatically put it in the right place.] Then restart your computer. The Internet Config Switch control strip module will now show up on the Control Strip.
When you press on the module’s icon, the module displays a menu with one fixed command (Edit Preferences), followed by a command for each Internet Config preference set. Choosing the Edit Preferences command will launch Internet Config so you can edit your IC preferences. Choosing a preference set will switch IC to use that set.
